Frequently Asked Questions

We run several B5465 printers — can one 5-pack stock serve them all?

Yes, and that is exactly the situation this pack suits. Every B5465 in the fleet draws on the same cartridge, Dell part number 331-9795, so a single 5-pack on the shelf is a shared pool: whichever machine fades first takes the next cartridge. Five cartridges at 45,000 rated pages each is 225,000 pages of cover to spread across the fleet as demand actually lands.

How do we keep track of which machine took which cartridge?

A pencil note does it: date and machine on the box end as each cartridge is issued. With cartridges lasting this long, the record matters less for the toner than for the printers — a machine that starts eating cartridges noticeably faster than its siblings is telling you something about itself, and you only see that pattern if issues are logged.

What is the unit cost when the pack is booked as fleet stock?

$588.09 divided by five is $117.62 per cartridge, against $132.41 for a single — $73.96 saved on the pack, and a running cost of about 0.26 cents per rated page against the single cartridge's 0.29. One purchase order, one unit price, five issues.

Is this pack genuine Dell stock?

No. It is a compatible 331-9795 pack from a third-party manufacturer, built to the same specification. The fleet case rests on the stated numbers — part number, 45,000-page rating, pack price and the cover below — rather than on the name on the box.

Should the pack be split across sites or held centrally?

Held centrally, with one person owning the shelf. Split stock has a way of vanishing from everyone's count at once, whereas a single store with a simple rule — reorder when the last cartridge is issued — keeps every machine covered. Sealed cartridges travel and store well, so moving one to another site when needed is no hardship.

What warranty and returns cover applies?

A 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns covers each cartridge in the pack, and our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Full terms are on our shipping & returns page.
