Frequently Asked Questions

Why does our stores department insist on stocking this by part number 331-9795?

Because part numbers do not drift. Printer names get shortened, misremembered and rebadged; 331-9795 identifies exactly one cartridge for the B5465 in Dell's own system. Stocking by that number means the bin card, the purchase order and the cartridge that arrives all describe the same item — which is why this listing is written the way a stores ledger reads.

When should the reorder point for this pack be set?

With cartridges rated at 45,000 pages, reorder points are about lead time, not panic. A sensible rule: when the last of the three goes into the machine, raise the next order. That leaves a full 45,000-page cartridge in service while the replacement pack is in transit, so the shelf is never actually empty.

What does the 3-pack cost per cartridge on a stock valuation?

$360.25 across three cartridges is $120.08 each, against $132.41 for a single — $36.98 saved on the pack, and a running cost of roughly 0.27 cents per rated page across the pack's 135,000 pages. One line on the order, one unit price to book.

How should the three cartridges be stored and rotated?

Sealed, flat, in a cool and dry store — never on top of a warm cabinet or in direct sun. Mark the delivery date on the outer box if your store handles several part numbers, and always issue the oldest stock first. Toner is a dry powder, so a sealed cartridge keeps its condition far longer than an ink product would.

Is this a Dell-manufactured pack?

No. These are compatible 331-9795 cartridges from a third-party manufacturer, built to the same specification as the original. The stocking decision can rest on the stated facts: the part number, the 45,000-page rating per cartridge, the $360.25 pack price and the cover below.

What cover backs stock drawn from this pack?

Every cartridge is backed by a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, and our support team is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Terms in full are on our shipping & returns page.
