Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of operation buys its B5465 cartridges ten at a time?
One where printing is production, not administration: a service bureau, a billing operation, a multi-machine department where the B5465 fleet runs all day. Ten 331-9795 cartridges hold 450,000 rated pages. At that scale toner stops being a purchase and becomes inventory — managed on a reorder cycle, at the lowest per-cartridge price this cartridge is sold at.
What does the per-cartridge price drop to at this quantity?
$1,157.69 for ten is $115.77 per cartridge, against $132.41 for a single — $166.41 saved across the pack, and a per-page cost of about 0.26 cents over 450,000 rated pages. Each step up the pack sizes has shaved the unit price; this pack is where the shaving stops.
Is there a point where buying this far ahead stops making sense?
Honestly, yes — if the machines are likely to be retired or replaced before the stock is used, the saving is stranded in cartridges nothing else takes. The arithmetic favours the 10-pack when the B5465 fleet is staying and its monthly volume is high and steady. Sealed cartridges keep well, but they only keep their value in a machine that still needs them.
How should a stock of ten be managed so none is wasted?
Oldest first, without exception — mark the delivery date on arrival if several deliveries will overlap. Store the boxes flat, sealed, in a cool dry room. And tie the reorder to stock, not to a calendar: when the count on the shelf reaches the number your lead time demands, order then.
Are these genuine Dell cartridges?
No. This is a compatible 331-9795, produced by a third-party manufacturer to the same specification as the original. At this volume the decision is a numbers decision: 45,000 pages per cartridge, $115.77 per cartridge in this pack, and the warranty and returns cover set out below.
What cover stands behind a pack of this size?
Every cartridge carries a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST should anything need attention. The full terms are published on our shipping & returns page.
