CLP-680ND
As a color laser printer, the Samsung CLP-680ND represented the CLP/CLX line in the early 2010s. The letters in its model name mean it adds wired Ethernet networking and automatic duplex printing, setting it apart from the base CLP-680. It was a practical fit for workgroups and departments with serious color volume.
For consumables it uses the CLT-K506 series, with CLT-K506S as the black cartridge and CLT-C506S as magenta. We keep compatible and genuine OEM CLT-K506 cartridges on the shelf, and orders leave our warehouse fast.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the orange tab on the new CLT-K506S cartridge for the CLP-680ND?
Avoid touching the green drum shutter or the metal chip contacts on the CLT-K506S; handle it by the ends or the handle. Fingerprints on the drum become permanent print defects on the CLP-680ND. Keep the cartridge out of direct sunlight during installation.
My computer cannot find the CLP-680ND on the network - what is the first thing to check?
If the link light is on but jobs never arrive, the driver port on the computer probably points at a stale IP address. Compare the port setting with the address on a freshly printed network report from the CLP-680ND. Updating the port or reinstalling the driver with the current address clears it up.
The CLP-680ND does not recognize the new cartridge - how do I fix it?
A toner error right after installing a new CLT-K506S in the CLP-680ND is usually a seating issue: the cartridge may not be fully clicked in or the protective seal was left on. Power the printer off, remove the cartridge, check for leftover tape or seals, and reinstall it. The printer should recognize it on the next power-up.
