Frequently Asked Questions

What does each cartridge cost inside this 5 pack?

$17.34. The pack is $86.69 for five MLT-D116L cartridges; bought one at a time, the same cartridge is $32.13. That near-halving drops the Xpress M2625's toner cost from about 1.07 cents a page to roughly 0.58 cents a page, with no change at all to the cartridges themselves.

Who is a 15,000-page supply right for on the Xpress M2625?

Owners whose printer works for a living: a home business, a tutor or bookkeeper printing client paperwork daily, or a household where the Xpress M2625 also serves as the family workhorse. At 500 pages a month the pack lasts two and a half years; at 250 a month, five years. Very occasional printers, by contrast, may never finish the pack — for them the single cartridge is the honest recommendation.

How should the four spare cartridges be stored?

Together, sealed, in a cool dry place at room temperature — a shelf in the study or a stock cupboard is ideal. Keep them flat, keep them out of sunlight, and use them oldest-first. Toner does not dry out or clog like ink, so a sealed cartridge taken from this pack in three years prints as cleanly as one fitted today.

Can this pack also run another Samsung Xpress model?

Yes. The cartridges are plain MLT-D116L units, the code shared by the SL-M2835DW, SL-M2885FW, Xpress M2626, Xpress M2676, Xpress M2826, Xpress M2835 DW, Xpress M2875, Xpress M2875 DW, Xpress SL-M2625D, Xpress SL-M2675F, Xpress SL-M2825DW and Xpress SL-M2875FD among others. Two Samsung printers in one home or office can draw from the same pack, and the low per-cartridge price applies whichever machine each cartridge ends up in. The full list sits in the Samsung toner range.

How much less is the pack than five single cartridges?

$73.96 less. Five singles at $32.13 add up to $160.65; this pack of the identical cartridges is $86.69. The saving is close to the cost of two and a quarter single cartridges — effectively, regular buyers get five cartridges for the price of about two and two-thirds.

What if I need to return one cartridge from the pack?

You can, free of charge, within a year. The pack carries a 1-year warranty and free returns for one year across all five cartridges, so a faulty unit goes back without postage costs or quibbles. See our shipping and returns page for the steps. Packs are dispatched from our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses, with support available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
