Frequently Asked Questions

What do I actually get in this CLT-505L four-colour set?

Four cartridges, one of each colour the platform uses: CLT-K505L in black, CLT-C505L in cyan, CLT-M505L in magenta and CLT-Y505L in yellow. The black is rated at 6,000 pages and each colour at 3,500 pages, so a full set carries 16,500 pages of rated capacity for $131.86.

I order by the code on the cartridge, not by printer — how do I check this is my family?

Read the code on the cartridge you are replacing. If it carries the 505L suffix in any of the four colours — K505L, C505L, M505L or Y505L — this is that family. The set is the code-named presentation of the toner used by the ProXpress C2620 and C2670 series machines, listed by cartridge number for buyers who restock from the code rather than the printer's badge.

Why is the black rated so much higher than the colours?

Because that is how this platform is built: the black cartridge holds a 6,000-page rating while each colour is rated at 3,500. In a text-heavy office the black still tends to move first despite the bigger rating; in colour-heavy work the colours can catch up. Either way, the ratings tell you a full set is a long interval between orders.

Can I fit just the one cartridge the printer is asking for?

Yes. Each cartridge is its own sealed unit, so you can swap only the empty slot and keep the other three boxed for later. There is no need to change all four at once, and the unopened ones store happily in a cupboard away from heat and sunlight.

What cover comes with these cartridges?

Every cartridge in the set is a Clever Supplies compatible unit backed by a 1-year warranty, and returns are free during the first year — the full terms are set out on our shipping & returns page.

Where will my order ship from, and when can I reach someone?

Orders leave from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA best serves your address. If you need a person, support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
