Frequently Asked Questions

We print a lot of photos and slide decks — why does the cyan seem to fall faster than the other colours?

Because cyan does the heavy lifting in exactly that kind of work. Skies, water, presentation backgrounds and most photographic blues and greens are built largely from cyan toner, so a photo-heavy week can pull the level down far faster than a week of plain letters would. The CLT-C505L is rated at 3,500 pages, but that rating assumes light, mixed coverage — pages with big blue areas spend this cartridge at a much quicker pace.

What does the 3,500-page rating actually buy us per page?

At $47.40 for a cartridge rated at 3,500 pages, the maths works out to roughly 1.35 cents per page at standard coverage. Treat that as a benchmark rather than a promise: dense colour pages cost more toner per sheet, sparse ones less. What the rating does guarantee is a long run between changes compared with a standard-fill colour cartridge.

Is this a single cartridge or one piece of a set?

A single cyan cartridge. The CLT-C505L is sold on its own so you replace only the colour that has run down. Its platform partners — the CLT-K505L black and the CLT-M505L and CLT-Y505L colours — are separate listings, and each colour in this range is changed independently as it empties.

Which printers does this cartridge fit?

It is made for Samsung's ProXpress colour platform: the C2620DW and the C2670FW. Those are the models this cyan is listed for, so if your machine is one of those two, the CLT-C505L is the cyan it takes.

What cover do we get if something goes wrong with it?

Every Clever Supplies compatible cartridge, this CLT-C505L included, is backed by a one-year warranty, and returns are free during the first year if the cartridge turns out not to be right for you. The full terms sit on our shipping and returns page.

How quickly will it reach us, and who do we talk to if we need help?

Orders leave from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — is best placed for your address. If you want a hand before or after ordering, our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This CLT-C505L Cyan Cartridge

This compatible CLT-C505L is the cyan supply for the Samsung ProXpress C2620DW and C2670FW, rated at 3,500 pages and priced at $47.40 — around 1.35 cents a page at standard coverage. It suits offices whose colour work leans photographic: skies, charts and presentation blues are where cyan earns its keep, and a high-fill cartridge means fewer interruptions mid-run. It is part of our wider Samsung toner range and carries the same one-year warranty and first-year free returns as the rest of the line.
