Frequently Asked Questions

There is no green cartridge in our printer — so why do the greens look dull when this cyan gets low?

Green is not a toner colour; your printer builds it on the page by laying cyan and yellow together. When the CLT-C505L runs down, there is not enough cyan in the mix, so greens slide towards yellow and look muddy or washed out. Restoring the cyan is what brings them back — the yellow rarely needs touching at the same time.

The listing headline says CLT-505L, but the cartridge itself is marked CLT-C505L — are they the same thing?

Yes. CLT-505L is the family name for this group of cartridges, and the letter in the middle of the full code tells you the colour: C for cyan. So the CLT-C505L is the cyan member of the 505L family, alongside its black, magenta and yellow partners. Ordering this listing gets you the cyan one.

How far does one of these cartridges go, and what does that cost?

The CLT-C505L is rated at 3,500 pages and costs $47.40, which is roughly 1.35 cents per page at the standard coverage the rating is based on. Leaflets with heavy green coverage — landscapes, charts, garden and food photography — draw on cyan faster than plain documents, so real-world life depends on what you print.

Which Samsung models is this cyan made for?

Two ProXpress colour machines: the C2620DW and the C2670FW. If your printer is one of those, this is its cyan cartridge; the same family also supplies those models in black, magenta and yellow under their own codes.

How are we covered if the cartridge disappoints?

It comes with a one-year warranty, and if it is not right you can send it back within the first year without paying return costs. Everything is spelled out on our shipping and returns page, so there are no surprises after the fact.

Where does it ship from, and when can we reach support?

We dispatch from four warehouses — IL, PA, GA and CA — choosing the one that gets the cartridge to you soonest. Questions are answered by our support team Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM CST.

About This CLT-505L Family Cyan Cartridge

The CLT-C505L is the cyan cartridge in Samsung's 505L family for the ProXpress C2620DW and C2670FW, rated at 3,500 pages for $47.40. Its quiet job is bigger than "blue": cyan is half of every green the machine prints and most of every sky, so its condition shows up across the whole colour palette. You will find it among our Samsung toner range, sold singly so it can be swapped on its own schedule, and backed by a one-year warranty with free returns through the first year.
