Frequently Asked Questions
What toner does the Oki MB471W MFP use?
The MB471W MFP uses toner cartridge 44574701, with 44574901 as the higher-capacity option in this family. The image drum is a separate long-life unit, so toner and drum are replaced independently.
Which cartridge should I choose for the MB471W MFP, 44574701 or 44574901?
Pick the 44574901 if the machine is a busy shared MFP, since it holds more toner and lowers cost per page. For light, occasional use, the 44574701 costs less upfront.
Why does my MB471W MFP say toner is low right after I replaced the cartridge?
The new cartridge may not be fully seated. Remove it, reinstall firmly until it clicks, and let the printer recalibrate. If the message persists, confirm the cartridge is a genuine 44574701 or 44574901 for this model.
