Frequently Asked Questions

Does "Premium" change the yield or the price on this MC950 set?

No on both counts, and we would rather say so directly. This Premium Quality set for the Okidata MC950 MFP is $64.38 — identical to the standard set — and the ratings are identical too: up to 3,500 pages for the black cartridge (Oki 44469801) and up to 3,000 pages for each color (Oki 44469701, 44469702, 44469703). The word in the title does not buy extra pages, and it does not cost extra money. What you are buying is the same complete, warrantied four-cartridge set.

What does the set cost per cartridge?

About $16.10 — that is $64.38 divided across the four cartridges. For a department planning its consumables budget, that makes a full toner refresh of a large MC950 a predictable, minor line item rather than a capital-style purchase, and there are no per-color price surprises since the whole refill comes in one box.

One color has run out ahead of the others. Do I need a whole new set?

Not necessarily. Each cartridge in the set is sealed on its own, and this set can serve as your spare pool: install the one color the printer is calling for and keep the remaining cartridges shelved. Departments often find a single color — cyan or magenta, typically — cycles faster than the rest depending on what they print, so having the remaining 44469701, 44469702 or 44469703 cartridges on hand removes the wait for a delivery.

How do copies and scans affect toner use on the MC950?

Scans use no toner, but every copy is a print as far as the cartridges are concerned. On a multifunction machine, copy volume is the silent half of toner consumption — a department that copies heavily will see the black cartridge's 3,500-page rating arrive much sooner than print counts alone would suggest. It is worth factoring copies into your reorder timing.

What if a cartridge underperforms in a machine this size?

The set is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, cartridge by cartridge. If one produces poor output or fails early, we replace or refund it under those terms — the details are on our shipping and returns page. Support is staffed Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central.

Where will the set be shipped from?

From the closest of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California. Multi-site organizations can also find the matching sets for their other machines in our Okidata range, which keeps reordering consistent across a fleet.

About This Okidata MC950 MFP Premium Quality 4 Color Set

This Premium Quality four-color set restocks the Okidata MC950 MFP completely: black under Oki part number 44469801 (rated up to 3,500 pages) and the three colors under 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703 (rated up to 3,000 pages each). It costs $64.38 — about $16.10 per cartridge — and, to be transparent about the label, that is the same price and the same specification as the standard MC950 set; "Premium Quality" changes neither. The set ships from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses and every cartridge carries a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, with help available Monday–Friday, 9–5 Central if anything does not print the way it should.

Oki MC950, Oki C530dn, Oki C531dn, Oki MC562w and Oki MC890 share more than a badge: they share this four-color set. Each cartridge also stands alone in the catalogue: the black 44469801 cartridge, the cyan 44469703 cartridge, the magenta 44469702 cartridge and the yellow 44469701 cartridge.
