Frequently Asked Questions

What do I get for $64.38 with this MC950 set?

All four toner cartridges the machine uses: black 44469801 and the color cartridges 44469701, 44469702 and 44469703. Split evenly, that is about $16.10 per cartridge — a complete refresh of the MC950 in one order instead of four separate purchases.

What yields are the cartridges rated at?

The black is rated at up to 3,500 pages and each color at up to 3,000 pages. Treat those as four individual budgets, not a pool: your black budget and each color budget deplete independently, and whichever your workload leans on will finish first.

The MC950 serves a whole floor — is a single set enough?

A single set refreshes the machine completely, but a high-traffic device will work through the ratings steadily. Many offices keep a second set in reserve so a cartridge change never waits on a delivery; the set you fit today then tells you, by its consumption rate, when to reorder the next.

Does copying count against these yields?

Yes. On a multifunction machine, every copy is a printed page as far as toner is concerned. Only scanning avoids toner use entirely. If your MC950 copies heavily, expect the color ratings in particular to be reached sooner than a print-only estimate suggests.

What if one cartridge from the set is defective?

It is covered individually: a 1-year warranty on each cartridge and free returns for a year under our shipping and returns page. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST to help confirm whether a fault is the cartridge or the machine.

Why not just replace the one cartridge that ran out?

You can — the remaining cartridges from this set simply wait on the shelf. The set's value is that the price per cartridge is fixed at about $16.10 and every replacement is already on site, so the piecemeal approach and the full-refresh approach end up using the same box.
