Frequently Asked Questions

When is the right moment to order this MC873DNC set?

When the first cartridge warning appears — not after the machine stops. Each cartridge here is rated at up to 10,000 pages, and a full set on the shelf means the remaining colors are covered when they follow. Offices that wait for a hard empty on a color-critical MC873DNC end up pausing work; offices that stock the set just swap and continue.

Does Premium Quality mean this set costs more than the standard one?

Not here. This Premium Quality listing is $139.21, exactly the standard listing's price for the MC873DNC family set. Rather than invent a distinction, we will tell you straight: the Premium wording on this family does not add a cent, and the four cartridges are the same set either way.

What four cartridges arrive, and under which numbers?

One black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow, drawn from the 44844509, 44844510, 44844511 and 44844512 family — the four numbers are quoted as a group, since the set is matched as a whole. Across the box, the $139.21 works out to roughly $34.80 per cartridge.

How do the page ratings behave on color-heavy work?

Each cartridge is rated at up to 10,000 pages at standard coverage. The MC873DNC earns its keep on color output, so expect the three color cartridges to be consumed in line with how much color your pages carry — dense coverage shortens their run, while black, mostly printing text, generally holds closest to its rating.

Which printers share this cartridge family?

Alongside the MC873DNC, the family is listed for the Oki C831, C831dn and C831n and the MC873dn. If your office runs more than one of those, this single set type can serve them all — verify by the family numbers 44844509, 44844510, 44844511 and 44844512 on an outgoing cartridge from each machine.

What cover do I have after the set arrives?

A one-year warranty and one-year free returns cover every cartridge in this compatible set; the policy is spelled out on our shipping & returns page. Your set ships from whichever of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses is closest, and support is staffed Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central.
