MC873
The MC873 is a color multifunction printer that pairs the C800-series print engine with scanning, copying and faxing. Its toner set matches the C831 family — 44844509 to 44844512, roughly 10,000 pages each — with an ultra-high-capacity black option for print-heavy MFP duty.

Frequently Asked Questions
What toner set does the Oki MC873 need?
The MC873 uses black 44844509, cyan 44844510, magenta 44844511, and yellow 44844512, the same four-cartridge family as its C831 siblings. Replace each color individually as it depletes.
Why do MC873 color copies drain toner faster than black copies?
Color copying consumes three color cartridges at once while black copying uses mainly the 44844509 black cartridge. Switch routine copies to black-and-white mode to balance consumption.
Can I keep printing on the MC873 after a toner-low alert?
Yes. The alert is an early warning and usable toner remains, so finish your jobs and have the replacement ready. Replace the cartridge when print quality actually drops.
