Frequently Asked Questions

I can barely find "6015V/NI" mentioned anywhere. Is this really my set?

It is. The V/NI is one of the less common badges in the WorkCentre 6015 line, which is why it surfaces in fewer listings — but badges in this family describe the machine's configuration, not its appetite. Like every 6015, yours runs on black 106R1630, cyan 106R1627, magenta 106R1628 and yellow 106R1629, and this set gathers one of each under your model's own name so there is no cross-checking to do.

How should I expect the four cartridges to wear?

Unevenly, by design. The black is rated at up to 2,000 pages and each colour at up to 1,400, measured at 5 percent coverage, so plan for a colour — not the black — to ask for replacement first. Owners who understand that rhythm treat this set as the machine's first full cycle and are never surprised by the order in which the warnings arrive.

What am I paying per cartridge?

The set is $68.36 across four cartridges: $17.09 apiece for a complete colour complement. Bought as singles, the same four positions would cost more and arrive as separate decisions; the set settles the machine's toner question in one purchase.

Does the set work in the other 6015 variants?

Yes. The cartridges are common to the base WorkCentre 6015 and the WorkCentre 6015V/N, and to the print-only relatives the Phaser 6010 and Phaser 6010N. A V/NI badge narrows nothing about supplies.

Only one colour has faded. Must the whole set go in?

No — each cartridge swaps on its own, and the sensible routine is to fit the flagged colour and shelve the rest. The unused cartridges keep indefinitely in their boxes; toner is a sealed dry powder and does not age the way liquid ink does, so the balance of the set is a standing spare stock rather than a deadline.

What does a colour page actually consume from this set?

A little of three cartridges at once. Any colour on the page is built from cyan, magenta and yellow together, which is why the three 1,400-page colours travel through life as a group, while text pages draw almost entirely on the 2,000-page black. It is also why a full set — rather than one colour bought in isolation — is the natural unit for this machine.
