Frequently Asked Questions

My black-and-white pages look perfect, but my color pages look quietly wrong. What gives?

That is the classic signature of a fading yellow cartridge. Yellow is the palest toner in the set, so a page of plain text never misses it — but the moment a page asks for color, the missing yellow shows: greens turn cold and bluish, oranges slide toward pink, and warm tones wash out. The 106R1629 in this listing is the yellow supply for the Phaser 6000 platform, rated at up to 1,400 pages.

The title says "Toner Cartridges" — plural. How many am I actually getting?

One. This listing is a single yellow cartridge at $29.92, sold as a single. The plural wording in the name is a catalog habit across this printer family, not a quantity; multi-packs of the 106R1629 are listed separately for anyone who wants a spare on the shelf.

Four cartridges live in this printer. Which one is the 106R1629?

The yellow one. The set is split by code: black is the 106R1630, cyan the 106R1627, magenta the 106R1628, and yellow is this 106R1629. Each color is its own cartridge with its own listing, so match the digits on the label of the cartridge you pull out — 1629 means yellow.

How can I confirm yellow is really the weak one before I order?

Print a test page with solid color blocks from the printer's menu. If the yellow block comes out pale, patchy or streaked while the other three lay down evenly, this cartridge is spent — no guesswork needed, and repeating the same test after the swap confirms the fix.

Which printers does this yellow cartridge serve?

Every machine on this compact color platform: the Phaser 6000, Phaser 6010 and Phaser 6010N, plus the WorkCentre 6015, WorkCentre 6015V/B and WorkCentre 6015V/N. One yellow supply covers the whole family, whichever badge your unit wears.

What protection comes with it?

Every cartridge is backed by a one-year warranty, and returns stay free for a full year — the details live on the shipping and returns page. Orders leave from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, help is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and the rest of the range for these printers sits on the Xerox toner page.
