Frequently Asked Questions

I mostly make copies, not prints. Why is my yellow still running down?

Because a color copy is a print in disguise. When your WorkCentre 6015 scans a page and reproduces it in color, it lays down all four toners — including yellow — just as it would for a file sent from a computer. A week of copying color flyers spends the 106R1629 yellow cartridge at the same rate as a week of printing them.

My copies have started looking cold and bluish. Which cartridge does that point to?

Yellow. It is the warm half of half the palette: without it, greens lose their grass and lean blue, skin tones in copied photos go pale, and yellows themselves fade toward white. The other cartridges can be perfectly healthy while this one quietly empties.

The name says "Toner Cartridges." Is this a multi-pack?

It is not. This listing sells one 106R1629 yellow cartridge for $29.92. The plural in the product name is a catalog naming pattern used across this whole printer family — the quantity in the box is one, and pack listings for this cartridge are titled and priced separately.

Is the WorkCentre's yellow different from the Phaser version?

There is no separate version. The Phaser 6000, Phaser 6010 and Phaser 6010N printers and the WorkCentre 6015, WorkCentre 6015V/B and WorkCentre 6015V/N multi-function machines all share the one yellow supply, code 106R1629, rated at up to 1,400 pages. What differs between the machines is what they do — copying, scanning, faxing — not the cartridge in the yellow slot.

How can I check the cartridge from the machine itself?

Print the machine's status or demo page from the control panel and look at the color blocks. A washed-out, uneven yellow block confirms this cartridge is the tired one; the same page, printed after the swap, is the quickest proof the new 106R1629 has fixed it.

What backs this purchase?

A one-year warranty plus free returns across a full year — full terms sit on the shipping and returns page. Stock ships from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA; a human answers support Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST; and every other supply for this platform is gathered on the Xerox toner page.
