Frequently Asked Questions

This yellow never looked low — then one day the color was simply wrong. Is that normal?

Completely. Yellow depletes invisibly: it contributes nothing to text pages and only a whisper to most color ones, so a WorkCentre 6015V/NI gives almost no visual warning as its 106R1629 runs down. When the shift finally shows — cold greens, washed warmth — the cartridge is not nearly empty; it is effectively done.

My variant is the uncommon one. Is its yellow cartridge an uncommon part too?

No, and that is the good news in owning a rare variant. The 6015V/NI shares its supply bay with the entire platform, so its yellow is the standard 106R1629 — the same cartridge, at the same $29.92, that feeds every Phaser 6000 and 6010 in the range. Nothing about it is special-order.

The name says "Cartridges." Am I buying a set?

You are buying one cartridge. The plural phrasing is a family-wide catalog habit, not a bundle: this listing ships a single 106R1629 yellow cartridge. If you want the full color set or a multi-pack, those exist as their own separate listings with their own pricing.

Is a spare worth holding for a cartridge this inexpensive?

For this color, yes more than most. Because yellow fails without warning, the choice is between a $29.92 cartridge waiting in a drawer and a machine producing wrong color until a delivery arrives. At up to 1,400 pages per cartridge, one spare covers a long stretch of ordinary use.

Which machines share this yellow supply?

The whole platform: the Phaser 6000 and 6000B, the Phaser 6010 and Phaser 6010N, and the WorkCentre 6015 range — WorkCentre 6015V/B, WorkCentre 6015V/N and this 6015V/NI.

What warranty and returns come with it?

A one-year warranty with free returns running a full year; the terms are published on the shipping and returns page. Warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA handle dispatch, the support desk keeps Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST hours, and every sibling supply for the platform is listed on the Xerox toner page.
