Frequently Asked Questions

The four cartridge codes differ by a single digit. How do I order yellow, not a near-twin?

Read the last four digits and nothing else: on this platform 106R1629 is yellow, every time. The neighboring codes belong to its set-mates — black, cyan and magenta are separate cartridges with separate listings — so if the cartridge coming out of the yellow slot reads 1629, the cartridge on this page is its replacement.

What will I actually see on the page when this one fades?

Reds are the early tell. Red is printed from magenta plus yellow, so a starving 106R1629 drags reds toward purple-pink while oranges thin out and turn coral. By the time yellows themselves look pale, the cartridge has been borrowing from empty for a while.

Is this listing a single cartridge?

It is — one yellow cartridge at $29.92. The name's wording ("Toner Cartridges") is plural because the catalog phrases the whole family that way; the contents here are a single 106R1629 for the yellow slot of your 6015V/B.

Does the V/B version need its own special supply?

No. The suffix marks a machine variant, not a different toner bay. A WorkCentre 6015V/B takes the same yellow as every other model on the platform — code 106R1629, rated at up to 1,400 pages — so a spare bought for it also fits the Phaser printers down the hall.

Where else does this yellow cartridge work?

Across the platform: Phaser 6000, Phaser 6010 and Phaser 6010N on the printer side; WorkCentre 6015, this WorkCentre 6015V/B and the WorkCentre 6015V/N on the multi-function side.

What am I covered by?

A one-year warranty, free returns for a full year, and the details of both on the shipping and returns page. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST. The rest of the platform's supplies are on the Xerox toner page.
