When I open the machine, how do I know which cartridge goes in which slot?

Match colour to colour, then confirm by code. The black position takes 106R1630, cyan takes 106R1627, magenta takes 106R1628 and yellow takes 106R1629, and each cartridge is colour-banded to make a wrong-slot fitting obvious. The code printed on the cartridge in your hand should always match the colour position you are filling.

What exactly does this set contain?

One cartridge of each of the four codes — black, cyan, magenta and yellow — for $68.36. That is the complete supply complement of the WorkCentre 6015V/B in a single box: every position in the machine refreshed, or held as a full set of spares, as you choose.

Why did my colours run out while the black still shows toner?

Because the platform is built that way. The colour cartridges are rated at up to 1,400 pages each; the black 106R1630 at up to 2,000, at the usual 5 percent coverage. Colour pages also draw on three cartridges at once, so a season of colour copying and printing brings the colours to empty together, ahead of the black.

Will this set fit the other WorkCentre 6015 versions?

Yes — it is listed for the WorkCentre 6015V/B and serves the base WorkCentre 6015 and the WorkCentre 6015V/N just as well, along with the print-only Phaser 6000. The suffixes describe the machines, never the toner.

Is there a wrong order for fitting the cartridges?

No sequence is required — each of the four positions is independent, and most owners change only the colour the panel has flagged. If you are doing a full refresh with this set, working through all four in one session simply means the machine starts the next stretch with every cartridge at full rated life.
