Frequently Asked Questions

Our machine's badge ends in letters like FBX or RL — is this the right toner?

Almost certainly yes. Those suffixes describe paper handling and finishing configurations, not a different print engine. The WorkCentre 7425, 7428 and 7435 families — base machines and their FB, FL, FX, R, RB, RL and RX variants alike — all draw on the same four part numbers: black 006R01395, cyan 006R01398, magenta 006R01397 and yellow 006R01396. It is the engine code that decides the toner, and that stays constant across the badge alphabet.

Why does the box hold five cartridges?

So that one is left over. Five cartridges are supplied across the four part numbers above; fit the working set of four, and the fifth becomes the machine's shelf spare. On a shared departmental copier, that spare is the difference between a two-minute swap and a queue of people standing at a stopped machine while a delivery is arranged.

What yields should we expect from each position?

Black is rated at 26,000 pages and each of the three colors at 15,000 pages at standard coverage. The black figure leads because most of what these machines produce — copies, forms, internal documents — is text. When black's gauge begins to fall away, that is the usual prompt to make sure the next set is already on order.

Which models does the set cover?

The WorkCentre 7425 and its variants including the WorkCentre 7425FB, WorkCentre 7425FBX, WorkCentre 7425FL, WorkCentre 7425FLX, WorkCentre 7425FX, WorkCentre 7425R, WorkCentre 7425RB, WorkCentre 7425RBX, WorkCentre 7425RL, WorkCentre 7425RLX and WorkCentre 7425RX; the WorkCentre 7428 line including the WorkCentre 7428FB, WorkCentre 7428FBX, WorkCentre 7428FLX, WorkCentre 7428FX, WorkCentre 7428R, WorkCentre 7428RB, WorkCentre 7428RBX, WorkCentre 7428RL, WorkCentre 7428RLX and WorkCentre 7428RX; and the WorkCentre 7435 line including the WorkCentre 7435FB, WorkCentre 7435FBX, WorkCentre 7435FL, WorkCentre 7435FLX, WorkCentre 7435FX, WorkCentre 7435R, WorkCentre 7435RB, WorkCentre 7435RBX, WorkCentre 7435RL, WorkCentre 7435RLX and WorkCentre 7435RX.

Do the four working cartridges have to be fitted in one visit?

No. They are separately sealed and change independently. Many offices fit black alone when it runs out — it cycles fastest — and hold the color trio until their gauges converge. The set simply guarantees that when each position's turn comes, its cartridge is already in the building.

What backing and delivery come with the set?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns cover the purchase; our shipping and returns page explains both in full. Warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA handle dispatch, support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the full Xerox range is listed on the brand page.

About This Xerox WorkCentre 7425 5 Color Set

At $157.76, this five-cartridge set is the standing reserve for the WorkCentre 7425/7428/7435 family in all its badge variants: black 006R01395 at 26,000 rated pages, cyan 006R01398, magenta 006R01397 and yellow 006R01396 at 15,000 pages each, plus one spare cartridge drawn from the same four part numbers. Refresh the machine from the box, keep the fifth beside it, and a whole family of departmental copiers stays a swap away from running again.
