Frequently Asked Questions

The SL-M2625D prints our invoices every day — how far ahead does this pack take the toner question off the table?

A long way. This pack holds five MLT-D116L cartridges, 15,000 rated pages of toner. A billing desk getting through 750 invoice pages a month would not buy toner again for about twenty months; even at twice that pace the pack covers most of a year. Toner stops being a weekly consideration and becomes an event so rare it is worth a calendar note.

Show the saving plainly — this pack versus the same five cartridges bought one by one.

One by one: 5 × $32.13 = $160.65. This pack: $86.69. The difference is $73.96 kept in your pocket, and each cartridge inside the pack effectively costs $17.34 instead of $32.13. Across the pack's 15,000 pages, toner runs at about 0.58 cents a page rather than roughly 1.07 cents — the per-page cost of running the SL-M2625D nearly halved.

Five cartridges is a fair commitment — how does it break down in pages and time?

Five cartridges at a rated 3,000 pages each. In time: at 300 pages a month the pack lasts a little over four years; at 1,000 a month, fifteen months; at 2,500 a month, half a year. The page figure is fixed — which of those timescales is yours depends only on how hard the printer works.

Can this pack feed Samsung printers other than the SL-M2625D?

Yes — the MLT-D116L is one cartridge for many machines: the Xpress M2626, Xpress M2676, Xpress M2826, Xpress M2835 DW, Xpress M2875, Xpress M2875 DW, Xpress SL-M2675F, Xpress SL-M2825DW, Xpress SL-M2875FD, SL-M2835DW and SL-M2885FW take it as well. A pack stocked for the invoices desk can rescue any of those printers in a pinch. The whole family is in our Samsung toner range.

What should we check on the printer itself while working through a pack this size?

The drum. On the SL-M2625D the toner cartridge and the MLT-R116 drum unit are separate, and the drum is rated around 9,000 pages — so during a 15,000-page pack, expect the drum to come due once, somewhere around the fourth cartridge. Repeating marks or a grey background on every page are its usual announcement. This pack replaces toner only.

What returns cover applies to a bulk pack like this?

The same cover as a single cartridge, applied to all five: a year's warranty and a year of free returns, so a faulty unit can be sent back at no cost whenever in that year the fault appears — the shipping and returns page gives the steps. Packs leave from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
