Frequently Asked Questions

How many reams of paper will one cartridge get through in the SL-M2625D?

Six. The MLT-D116L in this listing is rated at 3,000 pages, and a standard ream holds 500 sheets, so one cartridge matches six reams of paper almost exactly. It is a handy way to plan: if you know roughly how fast the SL-M2625D eats paper, you know exactly how fast it will eat this cartridge.

At a desk printing about 30 pages a day, when will this cartridge run out?

After roughly twenty working weeks. Thirty pages a day across a five-day week is 150 pages a week, and 3,000 rated pages divide into that twenty times. Ordinary correspondence at standard settings lands close to the rating; a spell of dense reports will pull the date forward a little. Either way, this is a cartridge you change a couple of times a year, not a monthly errand.

What should I do with the cartridge between delivery and fitting it?

Very little. Leave it sealed, lying flat in a dry place at ordinary room temperature, until the old cartridge is genuinely done. Just before fitting, rock it gently from side to side a few times — that loosens and levels the powder after its journey — then pull the sealing strip and slide it in. A cartridge treated this way prints at full strength from its first page.

The manual for my printer lists MLT-D116L — is this listing that exact part?

Yes. The cartridge in this listing is the MLT-D116L itself, which is why the part number appears in the listing's name: it is the high-yield toner the SL-M2625D's documentation calls for, rated at 3,000 pages and priced at $32.13. Its sibling, the MLT-D116S, is the standard-yield version with a smaller fill — same fit, fewer pages. If your manual names the L code, this is the cartridge it means.

Which other Samsung printers take the same cartridge as the SL-M2625D?

Eleven others. The MLT-D116L also runs the Xpress M2626, Xpress M2676, Xpress M2826, Xpress M2835 DW, Xpress M2875, Xpress M2875 DW, Xpress SL-M2675F, Xpress SL-M2825DW, Xpress SL-M2875FD, SL-M2835DW and SL-M2885FW. Any of those machines in the same home or office can be fed from the same cartridge stock — the family is listed in our Samsung toner range.

What protection comes with this cartridge?

It is warranted for a year, and returns are free for a year — a cartridge that leaks, streaks or gives up far short of its rating can be sent back without a postage bill, following the steps on the shipping and returns page. Orders ship from IL, PA, GA and CA, and help is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
