Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this listing pair two cartridges instead of selling one at a time?

Because two is the natural stock level for a single-desk printer: one cartridge working in the SL-M2625D and one sealed spare on the shelf. The spare means a cartridge that fades on a Friday afternoon is a two-minute swap rather than a weekend without printing, while the pair stops well short of the commitment a large box asks for. This pair holds two MLT-D116L cartridges — 6,000 rated pages in total.

What does each cartridge in the pair cost, and how far do they go?

The pair is $45.77, so each cartridge works out to $22.89 — against $32.13 for the same MLT-D116L bought singly. Each cartridge is rated at 3,000 pages, giving 6,000 pages across the pair and a toner cost of about 0.76 cents a page, down from roughly 1.07 cents on single purchases. Two singles would cost $64.26, so pairing up saves $18.49.

How long does a two-cartridge supply last a single-desk SL-M2625D?

At 200 pages a month, the pair covers about thirty months; at 500 a month, a full year. For a desk that prints a modest daily stack of letters and forms, this is close to a set-and-forget quantity — long enough that toner leaves your mind, short enough that the spare is never ancient by the time it is opened.

Which other Samsung printers can use the cartridges in this pair?

Both cartridges are the standard MLT-D116L, shared with the Xpress M2626, Xpress M2676, Xpress M2826, Xpress M2835 DW, Xpress M2875, Xpress M2875 DW, Xpress SL-M2675F, Xpress SL-M2825DW, Xpress SL-M2875FD, SL-M2835DW and SL-M2885FW. If a second family machine lives nearby, your SL-M2625D's spare doubles as its emergency cartridge — the range is in our Samsung toner range.

Is two the right stock level, or should we jump straight to five?

It depends how fast you print. The five-cartridge box in this family brings the per-cartridge price down to $17.34, which beats this pair's $22.89 — if you would work through five within a year or so, the bigger box is the cheaper habit. If the printer is lightly used, two is the wiser buy: enough cover to never be caught out, without money sitting in cartridges you may not open for years.

What cover do the two cartridges come with?

Both are covered for a year — warranty protection for twelve months and free returns across the same twelve months, whether the problem appears in the cartridge you fit first or the one still sealed. The shipping and returns page sets out how it works. We dispatch from IL, PA, GA and CA, with support Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
