Frequently Asked Questions

How should we plan reordering around a 3,500-page magenta cartridge on our C2670FW?

Work backwards from your colour volume. The CLT-M505L is rated at 3,500 pages, so divide that by the colour pages your C2670FW handles in a typical month and you have a rough replacement interval; order when the low warning appears rather than when output fades, and the swap never interrupts a run. Offices that print colour steadily often keep the reorder point at the warning and skip holding spares, because a single cartridge is quick to fit when it lands.

Do copies on the C2670FW spend this magenta as well as prints do?

Colour copies do, yes — a copy is a print, and it draws on the same four cartridges. Scanning, by contrast, uses no toner at all, and ordinary black-and-white documents lean almost entirely on the black cartridge, which is why the magenta's life depends so heavily on how much of your C2670FW's work is genuinely in colour.

What does the 3,500-page rating actually assume?

It assumes standard coverage — pages where colour occupies a modest share of the sheet. The rating is a measuring stick, not a countdown: a month of full-colour flyers will exhaust the CLT-M505L well short of 3,500 pages, while a month of letters with a colour letterhead can carry it comfortably past that mark.

This listing names the C2670FW — will the same cartridge fit a C2620DW?

It will. The CLT-M505L serves both of Samsung's ProXpress models in this range, the C2670FW and the C2620DW, so one cartridge code covers either machine if your office runs both.

Is the magenta replaced on its own, or as part of a colour set?

On its own. This is one magenta cartridge at $47.40; the CLT-K505L black, CLT-C505L cyan and CLT-Y505L yellow are separate supplies that you change only when each one empties.

What cover comes with the cartridge if something goes wrong?

A one-year warranty covers it, and returns are free during the first year if it turns out not to be right. The full terms are published on our shipping and returns page.

About This CLT-M505L Cartridge for the ProXpress C2670FW

This compatible CLT-M505L is the magenta supply for the Samsung ProXpress C2670FW (and the C2620DW, which shares the cartridge), rated at 3,500 pages and priced at $47.40 — roughly 1.35 cents a page at standard coverage. It fits the rhythm of a multifunction machine whose colour work mixes prints and copies: a long fill, a clear reorder point, and a swap that takes moments when the new one arrives from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California stock. It sits in our Samsung toner range, support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and a one-year warranty with free returns in the first year stands behind it.
