Frequently Asked Questions

Everything from our C2620DW has taken on a greenish tinge — could the magenta be the cause?

Very plausibly, yes. A green cast is the classic signature of magenta running short: with too little of it in the mix, cyan and yellow dominate, reds wash out and neutral colours tip green. It creeps in gradually, so the first clue is often that photographs and logos look slightly seasick rather than obviously faulty. On this platform the magenta is the CLT-M505L, and a low one explains exactly that symptom.

How can we check it really is the magenta before we order?

Print the machine's test or demo page and look at the colour blocks: if the magenta block prints pale or streaky while cyan and yellow look solid, and your reds have been drifting orange, the magenta is the cartridge at fault. Checking the supply levels on the printer's status page or panel tells the same story — this is a toner-level problem, not a printer fault, when the other colours still show healthy levels.

What are the headline numbers on this cartridge?

The CLT-M505L is rated at 3,500 pages and priced at $47.40, which comes to roughly 1.35 cents a page at standard coverage. Colour-dense pages draw it down faster than the rating assumes; text-led work with the odd graphic will stretch it further.

Is this a single cartridge, or one piece of a set we have to buy whole?

A single cartridge, sold separately. The CLT-M505L drops into the C2620DW on its own, and its family partners — the CLT-K505L black, the CLT-C505L cyan and the CLT-Y505L yellow — are only needed when their own turns come.

Does it fit anything besides the C2620DW?

One sibling model shares this magenta: the ProXpress C2670FW takes the same CLT-M505L. Between them, the C2620DW this listing is centred on and the C2670FW are the whole compatibility list.

What protection do we get with it?

It is covered by a one-year warranty, and returns within the first year are free if the cartridge does not perform as it should. The details are set out on our shipping and returns page.

About This Magenta Cartridge for the ProXpress C2620DW

Made for the Samsung ProXpress C2620DW and its C2670FW sibling, this compatible CLT-M505L magenta is rated at 3,500 pages and costs $47.40 — around 1.35 cents per page at standard coverage. It is the fix for the most common colour complaint on this platform, the slow green drift that appears as magenta quietly empties, and because each colour changes independently, restoring it takes minutes rather than a full set. Orders leave from whichever of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouses serves you best, help is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the cartridge belongs to our Samsung toner range with a one-year warranty and free first-year returns behind it.
