Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a three-pack of black cartridges actually sized for?

An office that gets through a cartridge every month or two and is tired of ordering singles. Three CLT-K505L blacks total 18,000 rated pages — for most small teams that is a year or more of documents — and the pack only makes sense at that pace. If your printer takes half a year over one cartridge, buy singles instead: the saving here is real, but it belongs to offices that will actually spend it.

What does each cartridge in the three-pack work out at?

$98.43 split three ways is $32.81 a cartridge, against $45.14 bought singly — the pack saves $36.99 over three separate orders and pulls the cost of black down to roughly 0.55 cents a page at the standard coverage rating. Nothing else changes: same CLT-K505L, same 6,000-page rating per unit, same cover behind each one.

Which machines will these three cartridges serve?

The CLT-K505L is the black named for Samsung's ProXpress C2620DW and ProXpress C2670FW. Where both models share an office, a three-pack is a single shared stock for the pair of them — the next black goes into whichever machine asks first. The colours those printers use alongside are the CLT-C505L, CLT-M505L and CLT-Y505L, replaced separately as each runs down.

How do we work through three cartridges without one sitting too long?

First in, first out. Keep the unopened cartridges sealed, boxed and flat in a dry place, and always fit the one that has been on the shelf longest. Toner keeps indefinitely in its packaging, so there is no race — the rotation is about tidiness, not expiry, and it guarantees the oldest stock is always the next one in the machine.

Why does black need restocking more often than the colours?

Because documents are black. A colour platform still prints its letters, invoices and reports from the black cartridge alone, so the CLT-K505L turns over several times for every once the colours move. Buying black in threes simply matches the order quantity to the cartridge that actually gets used — the colours can be ordered singly, as needed, on their own slower rhythm.

What cover comes with the three-pack?

Every cartridge in the box carries a one-year warranty and free returns for a year from purchase — the details are on our shipping and returns page. One honest note: that year runs from the day you buy, so the pack is best matched to a pace that uses all three inside it. Delivery is from the closest of our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses; support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
