Frequently Asked Questions

What does the second cartridge in this two-pack actually save us?

Real money, on the cartridge you were going to buy anyway. Two CLT-K505L blacks bought singly cost $90.28; this pair is $71.78, so $18.50 stays in the budget and each cartridge works out at $35.89 instead of $45.14. Across the pair's 12,000 rated pages that brings black down to about 0.60 cents a page. The second cartridge is not a spare you might use — on a working printer it is a certainty you will.

How should the two cartridges be used and stored?

One in the machine, one on the shelf, oldest first. Keep the waiting cartridge sealed in its bag and box, flat, in a dry cupboard away from sunlight; toner does not go off on a schedule, so the second unit is worth exactly as much in four months as it is today. When the fitted cartridge fades, swap in the shelf unit and reorder at leisure rather than under pressure.

Which printers does this pair fit?

Both cartridges are the CLT-K505L black listed for Samsung's ProXpress C2620DW and ProXpress C2670FW. An office running one of each model can hold this pair as common stock — whichever machine empties its black first takes the next cartridge, and no spare is ever stranded fitting a printer you no longer have. The colour partners are the CLT-C505L, CLT-M505L and CLT-Y505L.

How long does a two-pack last between orders?

The pair carries 12,000 rated pages in total. A desk printing a few hundred pages a week will not think about black toner for the better part of a year; a busier shared machine will turn the pair over faster, but the rhythm is the point — order once, and the reorder reminder is the day the second cartridge goes in, not the day the printer stops.

Does buying two at once change the warranty position?

Each cartridge carries the same one-year warranty and free returns for a year, counted from the purchase date — which is worth knowing before stockpiling beyond a pair. A two-pack is sized so both units are normally in service well inside that year: one fitted, one waiting a single cartridge-life behind it.

What happens if one of the pair turns out faulty?

It is covered like any single purchase: a one-year warranty against defects and free returns within the first year, with the process described on our shipping and returns page. Parcels leave from the nearest of our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
