Frequently Asked Questions
Who actually needs five cartridges at one time?
Offices that treat toner as a stocked supply rather than an emergency purchase. A five-cartridge set typically covers a full working round for the machine plus a spare on the shelf, so the next low-toner warning becomes a two-minute swap instead of a rush order. If your workgroup prints color most days, five cartridges is a realistic planning quantity rather than an extravagant one.
What is the per-cartridge cost in this set?
The set is $306.04 for five cartridges, which averages about $61.21 per cartridge — below what the individual cartridges in this family cost one at a time. The average blends the black and color cartridges together, but as a stocking decision the comparison that matters is total cost versus buying the same five singly.
How much printing does a set like this represent?
By rating, the black cartridges in this family are good for up to 20,000 pages each and the colors for up to 15,000 each, all at standard 5% coverage. Heavy color coverage shortens real-world yield, so think of the set as several months of normal workgroup printing rather than a fixed page promise. Either way, it removes toner from your weekly worry list for a good stretch.
How should we store and rotate five cartridges?
Keep them sealed, flat, and in a cool, dry cabinet away from direct sunlight and heat sources. When it is time to install, use the cartridge that has been on the shelf longest first, and note install dates on the box if you manage several machines. Sealed cartridges hold up well in storage, so a set bought today is still a sound set when its turn comes months later.
Will this set work in our copier?
Yes, if your machine is one of Ricoh Aficio MP C3002 and MP C3502. Our store lists this family under the "8412" shorthand, but the cartridges are the standard black and color units this platform shares across its models — there is no model-specific version of them. Match your machine to that family and the set is the correct stock-up for it.
How does the warranty work on a multi-cartridge set like this?
Simply: each cartridge is warranted on its own for one year, and returns are free for a full year across the set. A problem with one cartridge is handled on that cartridge alone — the rest of your stock stays on the shelf, fully covered. Our support team answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the full terms are published on our shipping and returns page.
