Frequently Asked Questions

Our office prints a few thousand black pages a month — how many months should one cartridge cover?

At roughly 3,000 black pages a month, the 20,000-page rating works out to about six to seven months of printing; at 5,000 pages a month it is closer to four months. Those figures assume standard documents at about 5% page coverage, so a month heavy on forms, reports with bold headers, or scanned copies will pull the number down somewhat. Most offices find the cartridge outlasts their quarterly supply order cycle comfortably.

What does a black page actually cost us with this cartridge?

At $66.18 for a rated 20,000 pages, the math lands near 0.33 cents per black page — well under a cent even if your real-world coverage runs a bit heavier than the test standard. Dense pages raise the effective cost modestly, but for everyday office documents this is one of the cheaper black cartridges in the Ricoh color MFP lineup to run.

Which machines does this cartridge work in?

It is the shared black cartridge for Ricoh Aficio MP C3002 and MP C3502, the Aficio MP C3002 / C3502 color MFP platform. This listing names the family by its cartridge number, 8412 (841276), but the same cartridge serves every model on that platform — if your machine takes the 841276 black, this is the cartridge it uses.

Can I install it the moment the low-toner warning appears?

You can, but you do not have to. The warning is an early alert, and most machines keep printing cleanly for a while after it shows; many offices run the old cartridge until output actually starts to fade, then swap. Keeping this cartridge on the shelf means the swap takes two minutes whenever you decide the time is right.

How is the cartridge covered if something goes wrong?

Every cartridge we sell carries a 1-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year as well — the full terms are on our shipping & returns page. If a cartridge leaks, streaks, or fails early, contact us and we will replace it or refund you. Support hours are Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.

Where does my order ship from, and how fast?

Orders ship from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, or California — has stock closest to you, which keeps transit times short for most US addresses. You will get tracking as soon as the parcel leaves the dock.
