Frequently Asked Questions
When does replacing all four cartridges in one session actually make sense?
Three moments stand out: setting up a machine with unknown toner history, recovering from output problems where several colors are suspect, and restocking a busy workgroup before a heavy print season. A full refresh resets the whole color balance at once, so calibration behaves predictably. If only one color is low and the rest are healthy, a single cartridge is the cheaper, more sensible move — this set is for a genuine reset.
How much do we save versus buying the four cartridges separately?
The four singles — one black and one each of cyan, magenta, and yellow — total $313.83 when bought individually. This set is $258.35, so you keep $55.48, and everything arrives in one shipment instead of four separate orders.
Will all four cartridges run out at the same time after this?
No, and planning for that saves frustration later. The black cartridge is rated for up to 20,000 pages while each color is rated for up to 15,000, and actual wear depends on what you print, so the colors will call for replacement before the black does. Treat this set as a fresh starting line, not a synchronized set of four.
Do I have to install all four cartridges the day the set arrives?
Not at all. Install what the machine needs now and keep the rest sealed on the shelf — unopened cartridges store safely in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Many offices install the full set and keep nothing back; others stage the colors as each one empties. Either approach works.
Is this the right set for our machine?
This set is built for Ricoh Aficio MP C3002 and MP C3502. Our listings refer to the family by its "8412" shorthand, but the set itself is the platform-wide combination — one black (rated 20,000 pages) plus the cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges (rated 15,000 pages each) that these machines share. If your copier uses that cartridge family, this is the matching four-color set.
How are we covered if one cartridge in the set has a problem?
Coverage is per cartridge, not per box: each cartridge in this set carries our one-year warranty, and returns stay free for a full year. If a single cartridge leaks, streaks, or underperforms, you return just that one — the other three stay in your machine and in service. Questions are handled by our support team Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST; the full policy lives on our shipping and returns page.
