Frequently Asked Questions

Does printing double-sided change how far these cartridges go?

The 7,000-page rating on each 46490604 cartridge counts printed pages, and duplex printing does not change the toner used per printed page — it changes how much paper you use. Printing two-sided on your C532DN halves your paper consumption for the same documents, while the toner in each cartridge still covers up to 7,000 printed pages.

Why pick the 2 pack for a networked workgroup printer?

A C532DN on a network serves several people at once, so it can move from fine to empty quickly. This pack keeps two cartridges — up to 14,000 pages — in the building for $55.40. The moment the first runs out, the spare goes in and printing continues; nobody's deadline waits on a toner delivery.

What does the pack cost per cartridge and per page?

Two cartridges for $55.40 is $27.70 per cartridge, against $36.95 when the 46490604 is bought on its own — a saving of $18.50 across the pair. Spread over the 14,000-page combined rating, toner cost is roughly 0.40 cents per page, which helps keep a busy department's running costs predictable.

Can this pack also feed our other Oki machines?

Yes, if they are among the models this cartridge serves. The 46490604 is the black cartridge for the C532 and C532DN, and it also fits the MC573 and MC573DN multifunction machines. A single pack type can therefore cover both your C532DN and an MC573 in the same office.

What protection comes with the pack?

Both cartridges are covered by a one-year warranty, and returns are free for one year — see our shipping and returns page for the details. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if your team needs a hand with anything.

Are these original Okidata cartridges?

No — they are compatible cartridges manufactured to the 46490604 specification, not Okidata-branded originals. The compatible route is what brings the per-cartridge price down to $27.70 in this pack. More of the range is on our Okidata toner page.
