Light cyan is why Artisan photos don't grain in the sky. This standard-capacity T099520-S — Epson's syndicated data names it 'Standard Capacity Light Cyan' outright — lays down the pale half of the cyan range, so gradients stay smooth where full-strength cyan would stipple. Our compatible cartridge is rated up to 500 pages on the manufacturer's published rating.
It carries a new compatible Intellidge-type chip, and the family's honest note applies: this cartridge carries a new compatible chip. if your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur. The full standard colour tier around it: T099220 cyan, T099320-S magenta, T099420 yellow and T099620 light magenta — with the high-capacity T098120 in the black slot, the only black Epson ever defined for these printers.
For all eight verified US Artisan models — Artisan 700, 710, 725, 730, 800, 810, 835 and 837. Lifetime warranty, free returns for the first year.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does light cyan actually do?
It prints the pale cyans — skies, water, soft shadows — at a dilution full-strength cyan can't reproduce smoothly. Without it, photo gradients turn grainy and banded in exactly those areas.
Standard or high capacity?
Standard — the code is T099, and Epson's own data for T099520-S says 'Standard Capacity'. T098 is the high-capacity tier (its light cyan, T098520, is not a compatible single we stock yet).
Rating?
Up to 500 pages, manufacturer's published rating — stated without an ISO label the sources don't provide.
Which printers?
Artisan 700, 710, 725, 730, 800, 810, 835 and 837.
Can light cyan substitute for regular cyan?
No — different slots, different dilutions. The printer expects T099220 in the cyan slot and this T099520-S in the light cyan slot.
Chip note?
New compatible Intellidge-type chip. This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur; reseat and restart first.
Portraits look blotchy in the highlights. This cartridge?
Plausibly — highlight blotchiness and sky banding are low light-cyan/light-magenta symptoms. Check both light cartridges' levels.
What black goes with the light colours?
The T098120 — the family's single black across both tiers. There is no T099 black.
Genuine?
No — Clever Supplies compatible to the T099520-S specification, labelled compatible on box and page.
Replace it alone?
Yes, like every cartridge in this six-colour family.
Storage?
Sealed, upright, room temperature, out of sunlight. (Shelf-life figure pending supplier confirmation — see Specifications.)
Warranty?
Lifetime warranty, with free returns within the first year.
