When an Artisan's prints go pale and its greens turn blue, yellow is the cartridge nobody checked. This is the standard tier's yellow: our compatible T099420, rated up to 500 pages on the manufacturer's published rating, one of the five standard-capacity colours in the six-colour Claria Hi-Definition system.

It carries a new compatible Intellidge-type chip — with the plain caveat that this cartridge carries a new compatible chip. if your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur. Its tier-mates are T099220 cyan, T099320-S magenta, T099520-S light cyan and T099620 light magenta; the black slot, in both tiers, is the high-capacity T098120, because no T099 black exists.
Fits the eight verified US Artisan models — Artisan 700, 710, 725, 730, 800, 810, 835 and 837. Covered by our lifetime warranty, with free returns for the first year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which tier is T099420?
Standard capacity. In this family T098 is high capacity and T099 is standard — Epson's support and product data agree, despite how counterintuitive the numbering looks.
Page rating?
Up to 500 pages, manufacturer's published rating. We don't attach an ISO standard the sources don't name.
Prints are washed out and greens are blue. Yellow?
Almost certainly. Yellow is half of every green and warms every tone; its absence fades a page before it empties it. Replace yellow, then run a nozzle check.
Which printers?
Artisan 700, 710, 725, 730, 800, 810, 835 and 837 — the verified US eight.
What black pairs with the T099 colours?
Only one choice, by Epson's design: the high-capacity T098120. There is no standard black in this family.
Chip — anything to watch?
New compatible Intellidge-type chip fitted. This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur.
Is there a T098 yellow instead?
Epson defines T098420 as the high-capacity yellow, but compatible T098 colour singles are not stocked on the ladder we build from — logged as an open item. This T099420 is the stocked yellow.
Yellow vs light colours — do I need both?
They're different slots. Yellow is a primary colour; the 'light' cartridges are light cyan and light magenta only. Your Artisan's six slots each take their own code.
Is it made by Epson?
No — Clever Supplies compatible, built to the T099420 specification and labelled compatible.
Can yellow be replaced alone?
Yes — every colour in this family is an individual cartridge.
How should a spare be stored?
Sealed, upright, at room temperature, away from sunlight. (Shelf-life figure: see Specifications — supplier confirmation pending.)
Warranty and returns?
Lifetime warranty; free returns within the first year.
