Frequently Asked Questions

What tier is the T099320-S?

Standard capacity — Epson's manufacturer data says so in the product name itself ('Claria No. 99 Standard Capacity Magenta'). T098 is the high-capacity tier in this family.

How many pages should I expect?

Up to 500 pages on the manufacturer's published rating. Photo coverage varies widely; treat the figure as the comparable rating, not a promise per print run.

Which printers take it?

Artisan 700, 710, 725, 730, 800, 810, 835 and 837 — every US model on Epson's verified list for this family.

Reds look orange and faces look sunburned. Magenta?

Orange-shifted reds point to magenta running short; so do muddy pinks. Check this cartridge's level, replace if low, and run a nozzle check.

Is there a T099 black to match?

No — Epson's code list for the standard tier has five colours and no black. The black for both tiers is the T098120, linked below.

Chip details?

New compatible Intellidge-type chip. This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur; reseating and restarting is the first remedy.

How is this different from light magenta?

This is the full-strength magenta (T099320-S). Light magenta (T099620) handles pale gradients in photos. They occupy different slots and are not interchangeable.

Is a high-capacity magenta sold here?

Not yet — Epson's T098320 exists as a code, but compatible T098 colour singles aren't on the ladder we stock; it's an open sourcing item on our checklist. This standard cartridge is the stocked magenta.

Genuine Epson?

No — a Clever Supplies compatible built to the T099320-S specification, labelled compatible on box and page; not manufactured by Epson.

Can I swap only magenta?

Yes. Six individual slots, six independent replacements.

What if a new cartridge prints poorly?

Run a nozzle check and one cleaning cycle. A defective cartridge is replaced under the lifetime warranty; returns are free within the first year.

What completes the colour set?

Cyan T099220, yellow T099420, light cyan T099520-S, light magenta T099620 and black T098120 — or the Set of 6 that bundles exactly those six.
