This cartridge completes the standard tier of the 802 family. Until now the compatible shelf held a standard black — the T802120, up to 900 pages — with colours only in XL form; this standard-capacity compatible T802220-S cyan, carrying DURABrite Ultra pigment ink rated up to 650 pages (ISO/IEC 24711), means a WF-4730 or EC-4040 owner whose colour use is modest no longer has to buy XL colours to match a standard black.
The row now reads cleanly: standard black (up to 900 pages) with standard cyan, magenta (T802320-S) and yellow (T802420-S) at up to 650 pages each — and every slot can still step up on its own, this cyan to the T802XL220-S at up to 1,900 pages, because the tiers mix freely. DURABrite Ultra pigment gives these office printers their smudge-, fade- and water-resistant output on plain paper. The cartridge carries a new compatible chip for ink-level reporting; the firmware note in the questions below is worth reading first.

Is this a standard or an XL cyan?
Standard — the T802220, rated up to 650 pages (ISO/IEC 24711). Its XL counterpart, the T802XL220, is rated up to 1,900 pages. Both fit the same slot in all seven printers on this page.
I thought 802 colours only came in XL. What changed?
On the compatible shelf, they did — the standard tier existed as a black single only. This cyan, with the standard magenta and yellow beside it, completes the standard row, so lighter colour users are no longer pushed into XL cartridges.
How many pages should I expect?
Up to 650 pages at Epson's ISO rating. Colour-rich pages — brochures, photo handouts — draw cyan faster than the mixed test pattern; plain documents track closer to the rating.
Which printers does it fit?
All seven verified 802 models: WF-4720, WF-4730, WF-4734, WF-4740, EC-4020, EC-4030 and EC-4040. It does not fit the WF-3720 or WF-3730 — those are 702-family machines.
Can it run beside the standard black and XL magenta?
Yes — any mix. Slots are independent, so this standard cyan works beside the standard black (T802120) and XL colours (such as the T802XL320 magenta) at the same time.
Does it have a chip?
Yes — a new compatible chip that reports ink levels to the printer, so the gauges behave as they do with a genuine cartridge.
What is the firmware note, honestly?
This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur, because Epson's firmware is written for Epson cartridges. Reseat the cartridge firmly and restart the printer before assuming a fault; the lifetime warranty covers what troubleshooting cannot.
What ink is inside?
DURABrite Ultra pigment ink — the ink specified for the whole 802 family in all four colours, chosen for documents that resist water, smudging and fading.
How much ink is in it, in millilitres?

Can I replace only the cyan?
Yes. Each cartridge is individually replaceable and the printer flags them one at a time; there is no need to disturb colours that still have ink.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?
