Cyan is where this family's shelf shape shows itself most clearly: there is no standard-capacity cyan single in the compatible ladder, so the cyan we sell is this one — the T802XL220, DURABrite Ultra pigment ink rated up to 1,900 pages (ISO/IEC 24711), against 650 pages for Epson's standard T802220. If your printer's original cyan was a standard cartridge, this XL drops into the same slot and simply lasts roughly three times as long.

Its partners are the T802XL120 black (up to 2,600 pages), T802XL320 magenta and T802XL420 yellow (up to 1,900 pages each), plus the standard black T802120 (up to 900 pages) for lighter-duty machines. The four colours are individual cartridges — replace only the one that is low, and mix standard and XL tiers freely while you transition.
The cyan fits WF-4720, WF-4730, WF-4734, WF-4740, EC-4020, EC-4030 and EC-4040, and nothing outside that list: the WF-3720/WF-3730 line runs 702 ink, a different family. Each cartridge carries a new compatible chip — the firmware note is in the questions below — and our lifetime warranty, with free returns for the first year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a standard-capacity cyan for this family?
Epson makes one (T802220, 650 pages), but the compatible ladder for the 802 family does not include standard colour singles — our cyan is the XL only. That is the ladder's shape, stated on the category pages as well as here.
How many pages does this cyan print?
Up to 1,900 pages, Epson's published ISO rating for the 802XL colours (ISO/IEC 24711). Charts, graphics and photo work use more cyan per page than plain documents, so real totals vary with what you print.
My printer came with a standard cyan. Will the XL fit?
Yes. Standard 802 and 802XL cartridges share the same slots in all seven models, and tiers mix freely — an XL cyan beside a standard black is a normal, supported combination.
Which printers take the T802XL220?
WF-4720, WF-4730, WF-4734, WF-4740, EC-4020, EC-4030 and EC-4040. No other Epson line uses this code; in particular the WF-3720 and WF-3730 take 702 cartridges.
Does it carry a chip?
Yes — a new compatible chip that reports the ink level. This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur; reseat and restart first, and contact us if the warning stays.
Pigment or dye — and why does it matter for cyan?
Pigment, like every colour in this family (DURABrite Ultra). Pigment cyan keeps charts and colour documents resistant to smudging and water once dry, which is the behaviour these business printers were designed around.
My colour prints look wrong but cyan is not flagged empty. Is it the cartridge?
Run a nozzle check from the maintenance menu first — a clogged nozzle pattern points to the print head, not the ink supply. If the pattern is clean and colour is still off with a fresh cartridge, contact us; a cartridge that prints poorly from new is a lifetime-warranty case.
Can I replace just the cyan?
Yes — that is the point of the individual-cartridge design. The printer keeps working with the other cartridges untouched, and you only ever buy the colour that ran out.
What are the sibling codes I should know?
Black: T802XL120 (XL) and T802120 (standard). Magenta: T802XL320. Yellow: T802XL420. All are listed on this page's family shelf, and the two sets — Set of 5 and the all-XL Set of 4 — contain this cyan.
Is this a genuine Epson cartridge?
No — a Clever Supplies compatible built to the T802XL220 specification, labelled compatible on the box and this page. Epson did not manufacture it.
What if it leaks or fails early?
Stop using it, keep the cartridge, and contact us. Leaking, non-recognition after troubleshooting, or poor print from new are all covered by the lifetime warranty; free returns apply in the first year.
Single or set for a colour refresh?
This single when only cyan is down. If magenta and yellow are close behind, the all-XL Set of 4 resets everything at once, and the Set of 5 adds spare blacks — both are linked from this page.
