Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is in the box?

Four XL cartridges: 1 × T786XL120-S Black, 1 × T786XL220-S Cyan, 1 × T786XL320-S Magenta, 1 × T786XL420-S Yellow. The contents table is printed on the box front.

How many pages does the set print?

Per cartridge, never summed: black up to 2,600 pages; cyan, magenta and yellow up to 2,000 pages each (ISO/IEC 24711). The four cartridges empty at different rates, so no single total figure is honest.

Are all four cartridges XL?

Yes — this set is high-capacity in every position. That is its difference from mixed combo packs that pair one XL cartridge with standard-capacity colours.

Which printers does it fit?

All six verified 786 models: WF-4630, WF-4640, WF-5110, WF-5190, WF-5620 and WF-5690.

What about the chips?

Each cartridge carries a new compatible chip. This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur — reseat the flagged cartridge and restart the printer first, and remember that a problem with one cartridge is covered on its own under the lifetime warranty.

Is the set cheaper than four singles?

Yes — the set is priced at $67.44 against $77.96 for the four XL singles bought separately, following the set discount in the LD ladder.

Do I have to install all four at once?

No. Install the positions that are low and keep the rest sealed and upright as spares. A set on the shelf is a stocked reset, not an instruction to swap cartridges that still have ink.

Pigment or dye ink?

Pigment — DURABrite Ultra in all four positions, per Epson's specification for this family.

Does this set fit the WF-4630 and WF-4640 as XL, even though they take no XXL?

Yes. The XXL exclusion on those two models concerns the separate T788XXL code set, which is not in this box and not in our range. The 786XL cartridges in this set are listed for all six models, including the WF-4630 and WF-4640.

Is this a genuine Epson set?

No — it is the Clever Supplies compatible set, built to the four 786XL specifications and labelled compatible on the box and on this page. It is not manufactured by Epson.

What if one cartridge in the set fails?

It is replaced on its own under the lifetime warranty. The other three cartridges are unaffected and stay in your printer.

What are the returns and warranty terms?

Free returns within the first year, and a lifetime warranty on every cartridge in the box — the inkjet terms for Clever Supplies compatible products.
