WF-5620 Ink — 786XL for a Work Printer

Epson's install guide for the WF-5620 lists the same three-tier table as its WF-5110 sibling: standard 786, high-capacity 786XL and extra-high 788XXL in all four colours. Our shelf is the XL tier — T786XL120 black up to 2,600 pages, T786XL220 cyan, T786XL320 magenta and T786XL420 yellow up to 2,000 pages each (ISO/IEC 24711) — in singles and a Set of 4. The standard tier is named for code-matching only; its official yield could not be verified, so none is printed.

The WF-5620 is on the T788XXL model list, but no compatible XXL exists in the LD ladder, so the code stays a boundary marker here, not a product. If you are replacing an XXL cartridge, the XL cartridges on this page fit the same positions at the XL yields above.

Which 786XL should you buy?

One colour ran out: replace just that colour — black, cyan, magenta and yellow singles are $19.49 each.
Full refresh: the Set of 4 ($67.44) replaces all four positions in one box.

Chip, ink and everyday use

Because these cartridges are chipped, one practical note from Epson's own manual text for this family: the printer is designed for genuine Epson cartridges, and a firmware update may stop a non-Epson cartridge that functioned before it. Our cartridges carry new compatible chips, and the practical defences are the honest ones — reseat and restart after a warning, and consider turning off automatic firmware updates. The pigment ink itself is made for handled documents: dry on contact, smudge-resistant. Lifetime warranty, 1-year free returns. For a work printer, the arithmetic is the argument: the XL black is rated at 2,600 pages, and the Set of 4 resets all four positions at XL yields in one box. Keep one sealed set in reserve and the printer never waits on a delivery.
