WorkForce WF-4630

Epson WorkForce WF-4630 printer

The WorkForce Pro WF-4630 prints with the Epson 786 cartridge family — four individual DURABrite Ultra pigment cartridges. Our shelf is the XL tier: black (T786XL120) up to 2,600 pages, and cyan (T786XL220), magenta (T786XL320) and yellow (T786XL420) up to 2,000 pages each (ISO/IEC 24711), each with a new compatible chip and a lifetime warranty.

WF-4630 Ink — 786XL, and No XXL on This Model

Epson's install guide for the WF-4630 prints its cartridge table in two tiers: standard-capacity 786 and high-capacity 786XL, in all four colours. Our compatible shelf is the XL row of that table — T786XL120 black up to 2,600 pages, and T786XL220 cyan, T786XL320 magenta and T786XL420 yellow up to 2,000 pages each (ISO/IEC 24711), all DURABrite Ultra pigment ink. No yield is printed for the standard tier on this page, because its official US figure could not be verified; we do not borrow numbers we cannot stand behind.

The boundary that matters most on this model is the one that is not here: the WF-4630 does not take T788XXL cartridges. That separate code set belongs to four later models in this family — the WF-5110, WF-5190, WF-5620 and WF-5690 — and listings that offer XXL for a WF-4630 contradict Epson's own lists. This page sells 786XL: the high tier this printer genuinely has.

Which 786XL should you buy?

One colour ran out: replace just that colour — black, cyan, magenta and yellow singles are $19.49 each.
Full refresh: the Set of 4 ($67.44) replaces all four positions in one box.

Chip, ink and everyday use

Every cartridge carries a new compatible chip, so the printer reads ink levels normally; a one-time on-screen confirmation is the printer checking a non-Epson cartridge, not an error. Epson's own manuals for this family warn that a firmware update can stop a non-Epson cartridge that worked before it — reseat and restart first if a warning follows an update. The ink is DURABrite Ultra pigment: documents come out dry, resist smudging and hold up to handling. Lifetime warranty on every cartridge, with free returns for the first year. Singles for the colour that is low, or the Set of 4 for a full reset — both routes use the same XL cartridges.
