Frequently Asked Questions

Exactly which cartridges are in this Set of 6?

One each of T312XL120-S black, T312XL220-S cyan, T312XL320-S magenta, T312XL420-S yellow, T312XL520-S light cyan and T312XL620-S light magenta — the complete slot layout of the XP-8500, XP-8600 and XP-8700, all in the XL tier.

Will this set fit the XP-15000?

No. The XP-15000's last two slots are Gray and Red (314XL), not Light Cyan and Light Magenta. The XP-15000 Set of 6 on this shelf is built for that layout — pick by printer, not by family name.

What yields does the set carry?

Per cartridge: black up to 500 pages; the colours are rated by Epson as a composite — 830 pages across the colour set (ISO/IEC 24711) — because no per-colour figures are published for this family. There is deliberately no summed page figure for the box.

Are all six cartridges XL?

Yes — every cartridge in the box is the high-capacity XL version. There are no standard-capacity cartridges mixed in.

Do the cartridges have chips?

Yes — each carries a new compatible chip for ink-level reporting. These cartridges carry new compatible chips. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur; reseat the flagged cartridge and restart.

One cartridge from the set wasn't recognised. What now?

Reseat that cartridge until it clicks and restart the printer — a firmware update is the usual trigger. If it persists, contact us: the faulty cartridge is covered by the lifetime warranty without returning the whole set.

Is the ink dye or pigment?

Dye — Claria Photo HD dye across all six colours, per Epson's family specification.

Is this a genuine Epson multipack?

No. Epson's own pack codes for this family could not be verified from US sources, so we sell this as what it is: a Clever Supplies compatible set of the six 312XL cartridges, labelled compatible on the box.

Why is there no millilitre total for the box?

Epson publishes no mL volume for this family, so no volume figure — per cartridge or summed — appears here.

Does the set fit European XP-8600 printers?

No — European models take 378/478 region-coded cartridges. This set is for US models.

Set of 6 or singles?

The set when several slots are low or you want a clean reset — it is priced below the six singles bought separately. Singles remain the right call when exactly one colour is out.

What if I print a lot — is there a bigger box?

Yes: the XP-8500-series bulk Set of 13 (three blacks, two of every colour, all XL) is the heavy-use version of this same layout.
