What exactly is in the box?

How many pages does the set print?

Per cartridge, never summed: black up to 500 pages; each of the five colours up to 740 (ISO/IEC 24711). Colours empty at different rates, so no single total is honest.

Are all six really XL?

Yes — this set is XL in every position, all six of them. That is its difference from Epson's own standard-capacity five-colour pack, which omits black entirely and is a genuine-Epson product, not this set.

Which printers does it fit?

One: the Expression Photo XP-980. It does not fit the XP-960 — that printer belongs to the 277 family — nor any other XP model.

What about the chips?

Each cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur; reseat the flagged cartridge and restart before contacting us — and if it persists, the lifetime warranty applies per cartridge.

Is it cheaper than six singles?

Does it fit the XP-960 I had before?

No. The XP-960 is a 277-family printer. This set is for its successor-class model, the XP-980, only — the family number on the box (279) is the check that matters.

Is this a genuine Epson set?

What if one cartridge in the set fails?
