What yield should I expect from the 126 cyan?

Up to 440 pages per cartridge (ISO/IEC 24711), Epson's published rating for the 126 color cartridges on the WorkForce 435. On the WF-3520-series specification the same colors measure about 470 pages — printer-side measurement difference, same cartridge. Real-world color coverage varies with what you print; the ISO figure is the comparison standard.

My prints are coming out too pink or yellow-green. Is cyan the problem?

Very often, yes. Cyan is half of every blue and green; when it starves, skies shift pink and greens go muddy. Check the cyan level first — and if a fresh cartridge doesn't restore balance, run one head-cleaning cycle and a nozzle check before blaming the ink.

Which printers take this cyan cartridge?

The 18-model 126 list: Stylus NX330, NX430; WorkForce 60, 435, 520, 545, 630, 633, 635, 645, 840, 845; WorkForce WF-3520, WF-3530, WF-3540, WF-7010, WF-7510, WF-7520. It does not fit the NX530 or NX625 — those are 125 + 127 printers.

Is the ink dye or pigment?

Pigment — the entire 126/127 platform is DURABrite Ultra pigment in all four positions, per Epson's printer specifications (for example the WorkForce 435's “Ink Type: DURABrite Ultra pigment ink”). That is what gives these colors their smudge and water resistance on plain paper.

Will the printer accept this compatible cartridge?

This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur — remove the cartridge, check the green chip contact is clean and untouched by fingers, reseat it firmly, and restart the printer. Epson's own guides for this platform also note that ink-level readings can occasionally display incorrectly with non-original cartridges; the cartridge still prints its full rated yield.

Can I install a 126 cyan next to a 127 black?

Yes — on the 14 models that take both tiers, slots are independent, so a 127 black with 126 colors is a standard, sensible mix. On the NX330, NX430, WorkForce 435 and WorkForce 520 there is no 127 option; all four positions are 126.

How is this different from the 127 cyan?

Capacity. The T127220 cyan is rated up to 755 pages against this cartridge's 440. The ink itself is the same DURABrite Ultra pigment family; the 127 is simply the Extra High Capacity fill, available only for the 14 dual-tier models (and the two 127-only NX models).

Do I have to replace all colors at once?

No. This platform uses four individual cartridges — that is its main economy. Replace only the color the printer reports low; the others keep working.

What if cyan prints streaky right after a refill?

Run the printer's nozzle check, then a single head cleaning if lines are missing. Streaks with a confirmed-full, recognized cartridge are a nozzle matter, not a cartridge defect; if a cartridge itself ever fails to perform, the lifetime warranty replaces it.

How do I store a spare cyan cartridge?

Sealed in its box, upright, at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. Once opened, Epson's platform guidance is to use a cartridge within about six months for best results. (A published shelf-life figure awaits our supplier's confirmation — see Specifications.)
