Frequently Asked Questions

Which printers use the T924XL220?

The two models Epson verifies for the 924 family: WorkForce Pro WF-C4310 and WF-C4810. No other printer takes this cartridge — including the WF-4830 line, which uses 822 ink.

What yield should I expect from this cyan cartridge?

Up to 1,700 pages on the ISO/IEC 24711 pattern, Epson's XL colour rating for this family. Charts and colour documents consume more per page than the test pattern, so real yields vary with your mix.

Is the ink pigment or dye?

Pigment — DURABrite Ultra in all four positions of this family. Pigment cyan is what keeps colour documents resistant to smudging and water once the page is dry.

How do I install it?

Open the cartridge cover, push the old cartridge in until it clicks and lift it out, unpack the new one, and insert it until it clicks into place. Keep fingers off the green chip, per Epson's handling guidance.

Does it work with the printer's ink-level display?

Yes — the cartridge carries a new compatible chip that reports levels. This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur; a wrong reading right after an update usually settles with a reseat and restart.

Can I replace only the cyan cartridge?

Yes. The 924 cartridges are individual: each colour changes on its own schedule. There is no combined colour cartridge in this family.

My cyan prints look faded. Is the cartridge faulty?

Run the printer's nozzle check first — a clogged nozzle pattern mimics a weak cartridge. If the pattern is clean and cyan is still pale from a fresh cartridge, that is a cartridge problem and the lifetime warranty covers it.

Is there a standard-capacity version?

Epson's catalogue lists one (T924220). The compatible ladder for this family is XL-only, so Clever Supplies stocks the XL tier; the standard code is named here so you can match it against the cartridge you are removing.

What if my printer is a WF-4830?

Then this is the wrong shelf: the WF-4830 family ships with 822/822XL cartridges, and Epson's 924 charts do not list it. Badge first — WF-C4810 yes, WF-4830 no.

Is this genuine Epson ink?

No. It is a Clever Supplies compatible cartridge built to the T924XL220 specification, labelled compatible on the box and this page, and backed by our lifetime warranty rather than Epson's.

How is it packaged?

In a Clever Supplies branded box; the cartridge inside is labelled with its full code, colour and XL tier.

What are my return options?

Free returns within the first year, and the lifetime warranty beyond it for a cartridge that fails to perform.
