This is the hardest-working cartridge in the 924 family: the black, in its high-capacity form. Our compatible T924XL120 holds DURABrite Ultra pigment black ink rated up to 2,200 pages (ISO/IEC 24711) — and note the shape of this family's ladder, because it is the opposite of its RIPS cousin: here black outrates the colours, which sit at 1,700 pages each in XL form. For the document-first WF-C4310 and WF-C4810, that black-heavy split is exactly how these printers actually consume ink.

The cartridge is a conventional individual cartridge — this platform is not the RIPS pack system of the larger WF-C5xxx printers, and nothing about the two families interchanges despite the similar codes. It carries a new compatible chip that reports ink levels. The standing note for this family is Epson's own: this cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur — reseat the cartridge and restart before assuming it is at fault. Its sibling colours are T924XL220 cyan, T924XL320 magenta and T924XL420 yellow.
It fits exactly two printers — WorkForce Pro WF-C4310 and WF-C4810 — and not their retail look-alikes: the WF-4830 line takes 822 cartridges, not these. Covered by our lifetime warranty, with free returns for the first year.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many pages does the T924XL120 print?
Up to 2,200 pages, Epson's published rating for the genuine cartridge on the ISO/IEC 24711 pattern. Text-heavy office printing tracks the rating most closely; graphics use more ink per page.
Is this the standard or the high-capacity black?
High capacity — the XL. Epson's catalogue also lists a standard tier (T924120), but the compatible ladder for this family is XL-only, so the cartridge we sell is the XL one; the standard code is named here so you can match it against what you remove.
Which printers take it?
Two models only: WorkForce Pro WF-C4310 and WF-C4810. It does not fit the WF-4830, WF-4833 or WF-4834 (those take 822 cartridges), and it does not fit any RIPS printer (those take 902 ink packs).
What ink is inside?
DURABrite Ultra pigment ink — all four 924 colours are pigment, per Epson's documentation for this family. Pigment black gives documents their smudge, fade and water resistance once dry.
Does it have a chip?
Yes — a new compatible chip that reports ink levels. Keep the green chip untouched during installation, as Epson's own handling guidance instructs for these cartridges.
My printer says the cartridge is not recognised. What now?
This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur — Epson's FAQ for the WF-C4810 says the same about firmware and third-party cartridges. Power off, reseat the cartridge until it clicks, and power back on; if the warning persists, the lifetime warranty covers the cartridge.
Can I mix this XL black with standard-capacity colours?
Yes. Each slot is independent; XL and standard cartridges mix freely in the same printer. Our colours are XL (1,700 pages each), but a standard colour already installed works alongside this black.
How much ink is in it, in millilitres?
We do not publish a figure: Epson does not state a millilitre volume for the 924 cartridges in its official documentation, so the Volume field is left blank rather than filled with a reseller's claim. The verifiable figure is the 2,200-page ISO yield.
Is it a genuine Epson cartridge?
No — it is a Clever Supplies compatible built to the T924XL120 specification and labelled compatible on the box and this page. It is not manufactured by Epson.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
A cartridge that fails to perform — not recognised after troubleshooting, leaking, or printing poorly from new — is replaced under the lifetime warranty. Free returns apply within the first year.
Why is black rated 2,200 but the colours 1,700?
That is Epson's own rating split for the XL tier of this family. It is also why the bulk Set of 9 on this shelf is built black-heavy: three blacks to two of each colour.
Should I buy the single or a set?
The single if only black is low. If you stock ahead, the Set of 4 or the black-heavy Bulk Set of 9 works out cheaper per cartridge — both are linked from this page.
