Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the box?

Four individual cartridges: 1 x LC75BK (black), 1 x LC75C (cyan), 1 x LC75M (magenta) and 1 x LC75Y (yellow). Each is separately sealed and carries its own chip.

How many pages does each cartridge print?

Black up to 600 pages and each color up to 600 pages, rated under ISO/IEC 24711. We do not add the four ratings into a single set total — the slots empty at different rates.

Which printers use this set?

All 11 models in the family: MFC-J280W, MFC-J425W, MFC-J430W, MFC-J435W, MFC-J5910DW, MFC-J625DW, MFC-J6510DW, MFC-J6710DW, MFC-J6910DW, MFC-J825DW and MFC-J835DW. LC75 is the one tier every model in the family accepts.

My printer came with LC71 cartridges — will this set fit it?

If yours is one of the seven smaller models, yes. On those printers LC71 is the standard cartridge (300 pages) and this LC75 is the high-yield cartridge for the same slots, so the set is a straight upgrade that doubles the rated run per cartridge.

Can I install one cartridge now and keep the rest sealed?

Yes. The four slots work independently, so you can fit only the color that ran out and keep the remaining cartridges sealed in the box until their turn comes.

Is the black cartridge in this set the same as your single LC75BK?

Identical — same cartridge, same 600-page rating, same chip. The set simply bundles one of each color so a full refresh takes one box instead of four separate orders.

Will my printer recognize these cartridges?

Each cartridge carries a new compatible chip and is built to be read by the printer. After a printer firmware update, recognition can occasionally fail — the typical sign is a 'Cannot Detect' message. Reseat the cartridge firmly, make sure the chip contact is clean, and restart the printer. We do not promise recognition under every firmware state; if a cartridge still will not read, contact us and the warranty process takes over.

Is this a genuine Brother product?

No. These are Clever Supplies compatible cartridges made to the LC75 specification and labeled compatible on the box and on this page. Brother does not manufacture or endorse them.

How is this set different from the bulk box in this family?

The bulk box is weighted toward black, with spare black cartridges for heavy document printing. This set is balanced — exactly one of each color — which suits a complete refresh or a first spare set kept on the shelf.

A color is printing streaky right after installation — what should I do?

Run the printer's nozzle check, then a cleaning cycle if the pattern shows gaps; a freshly fitted cartridge sometimes needs one cycle to prime. If the streaks persist after that, do not keep printing through it — contact us under the warranty.

How should I store the cartridges I am not installing yet?

Keep them sealed in their wrappers, upright, at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. Open a cartridge only when you are ready to fit it.

What warranty and returns cover this set?

A lifetime warranty — a cartridge that fails to perform is replaced — and free returns within the first year, per our standing compatible-product policy.
