Cyan is where this family's two halves meet: our compatible LC75C is rated up to 600 pages under ISO/IEC 24711 and fits all 11 models on the list below. On the seven smaller printers it doubles the standard LC71C's 300 pages in the same slot; on the four larger models — where LC71 was never an option — it is the base tier under the LC79 super-high cartridges.

Every cartridge is an individual, chipped Innobella cartridge — one slot per color, replaced separately, with a new compatible chip fitted. What makes this family easy to get wrong is its three tiers: LC71 standard, LC75 high yield and LC79 super high yield share a family name but not a fit list. This listing's Compatible Printers list is its own — checked against Brother's official model lists, not copied from a seller's range page.

A lifetime warranty covers it, with free returns in the first year. The rating printed here is Brother's own ISO/IEC 24711 figure for the tier; the cartridge is our compatible, labeled as such on the box and the page.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the page yield of the LC75C?

Up to 600 pages, rated to ISO/IEC 24711 — Brother's published figure for the LC75 cyan cartridge. We print the manufacturer's rating; listings promising far more for this code are not quoting a Brother measurement.

    Which printers does it fit?

All 11 printers in the family: the seven smaller models (MFC-J280W, MFC-J425W, MFC-J430W, MFC-J435W, MFC-J625DW, MFC-J825DW, MFC-J835DW) and the four larger ones (MFC-J5910DW, MFC-J6510DW, MFC-J6710DW, MFC-J6910DW). LC75 is the one tier every model accepts.

Will my printer recognize this cartridge?

This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur — a 'Cannot Detect' type message is the known failure mode on this platform. Remove the cartridge, check the chip contact is clean and untouched, reseat it firmly, and restart the printer. We do not claim recognition in every firmware state; if it still will not read, our warranty process is the next step.

Can my printer take the LC79 cartridges for even more pages?

Only the four larger models (MFC-J5910DW, MFC-J6510DW, MFC-J6710DW, MFC-J6910DW) accept LC79. The seven smaller models physically cannot take an LC79 cartridge — for them, this LC75 tier is the top of the range.

Is this a genuine Brother cartridge?

No — it is a Clever Supplies compatible cartridge built to the LC75C specification, with a new compatible chip, labeled compatible on the box and on this page. It is not manufactured by Brother.

What exactly is in the box?

This listing is a single cyan cartridge: one compatible LC75C. The other colors are separate listings — on this platform every slot is replaced individually.

How do I check my printer takes this cartridge?

Match your model against the Compatible Printers list below and the code on your current cartridge against this page — LC75C. In this family the model decides the tier: the same family name covers three tiers with three different fit lists, so the model check matters more than the family name.

Can I mix tiers — for example an LC79 black with LC75 colors?

On the four large models, yes: tiers mix slot by slot, so an LC79 black can run beside LC75 colors. On the seven smaller models there is nothing to mix — LC79 does not fit them in any slot, and their range is LC71 standard plus LC75 high yield.

How should I handle the cartridge when installing it?

Hold it by the housing, keep fingers off the chip contact, and do not remove any seal or cap until you are ready to install. Seat it in the correct color slot until it clicks, then run a nozzle check if the printer has been idle.

What warranty and returns does it carry?

A lifetime warranty — a cartridge that fails to perform is replaced — and free returns within the first year. The 1-year returns period follows our standing compatible-product policy.

Why are the four colors sold individually?

Because the printer is built that way: four separate slots, four separate levels. An individual system means a low yellow never makes you discard half-full cyan and magenta — you replace the slot that is actually empty.

Does this cartridge also replace the LC71?

On the seven smaller models, yes — in the official tier structure, LC71 is their standard cartridge (300 pages) and this LC75 is the high-yield cartridge for the same slot, so an LC71 printer takes LC75 and doubles its run. On the four larger models the question does not arise: they never took LC71 — LC75 is their starting tier. We do not open a separate LC71 listing; this LC75 is the cartridge we sell for both situations.
