Frequently Asked Questions

Who actually burns through five E40 cartridges?

Places where a small copier never gets a day off: a school front office copying forms and permission slips, a church office producing weekly bulletins, a property manager copying leases and statements, a shop counter running invoices. Five Canon E40 cartridges total 20,000 pages, and a personal copier doing 1,500 to 2,000 pages a month — entirely normal for that kind of desk — finishes the pack in ten months to a year.

What is the total saving against buying them one by one?

Five singles at $59.58 come to $297.90. This 5-pack is $223.95, a saving of $73.95, and it brings the per-cartridge price down to $44.79 and the running cost to about 1.12 cents per page. For a supply you are certain to use, that is the cheapest way to buy the standard Canon E40 (part number 1491A002AA) short of the 10-pack.

How do we keep five cartridges organised so none get wasted?

Treat them like any other dated stock. Keep the boxes together in one dry cupboard, write the arrival month on each, and always install the oldest first. Because the cartridge is the copier's only supply, whoever swaps it can also note the date on the box end — over a year that gives you a simple, honest record of how fast your machine really uses toner, which makes the next order the right size instead of a guess.

What if one cartridge out of the five is a dud?

Then that one cartridge is the problem we solve — the pack does not have to come back. Every Canon E40 in the box is a new compatible cartridge covered by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, cartridge by cartridge. A unit that leaks, streaks or fails early is replaced or refunded on its own.

Our copier sometimes sits unused for weeks. Does idle time hurt the cartridge in the machine?

Not in any way you need to manage. Toner is a dry powder; it does not clog or dry out the way liquid ink does. After a quiet spell the first copies may look slightly uneven where toner has settled — rock the cartridge gently side to side and copy quality settles back down. The sealed spares on the shelf are equally unbothered by waiting.

Where will the pack ship from?

From the closest of our four US warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — so a five-cartridge box is not crossing an ocean to reach you. Delivery windows and the full returns process are set out on our shipping and returns page, and our support team is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if anything needs sorting out.
