Frequently asked questions
What toner does the Brother MFC-L8730CDW use?
The Brother MFC-L8730CDW uses TN635 standard-yield (approx. 3,000 pages black / 1,800 pages color), TN635XL high-yield (approx. 5,500 / 4,500 pages) and TN635XXL super high-yield (approx. 7,500 / 6,500 pages) toner cartridges.
What is the difference between TN635, TN635XL and TN635XXL?
All three fit the MFC-L8730CDW. The TN635XL (also written TN-635XL) is the high-yield version — about 5,500 pages black / 4,500 pages color — and the TN635XXL is the super high-yield version — about 7,500 pages black / 6,500 pages color — versus about 3,000 / 1,800 for the standard TN635. Higher yield means a lower cost per page.
Are compatible TN635XXL toner cartridges safe for my Brother MFC-L8730CDW?
Yes. Our compatible cartridges are engineered to meet or exceed Brother's specifications and are backed by a lifetime warranty. Using compatible cartridges does not void your printer's warranty.
Which cartridge is the best value for heavy printing?
For the heaviest printing, the TN635XXL super high-yield cartridge (about 7,500 pages black / 6,500 pages color) gives the MFC-L8730CDW its lowest cost per page. For occasional printing, the standard TN635 is the most economical upfront.
