MFC-9840CDW

The Brother MFC-9840CDW takes the 9840 platform and cuts the cable, adding 802.11b/g wireless alongside Ethernet and USB. Beyond untethered printing it packs a 50-sheet duplexing ADF, 128MB of memory, and a 35,000-page monthly duty cycle, so it handles two-sided copying and scanning at 21 ppm. TN110/TN115 toner plus the DR110CL drum unit keep running costs predictable for busy workgroups.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which toner does the Brother MFC-9840CDW use?

The MFC-9840CDW uses four toner cartridges — black, cyan, magenta and yellow — in either the standard-yield Brother TN110 series (black ~2,500 pages, color ~1,500 pages each) or the high-yield Brother TN115 series (black ~5,000 pages, color ~4,000 pages each), plus the Brother DR110CL drum unit (~17,000 pages).

What is the difference between the TN110 and the TN115?

Both fit the same printers. The TN115 is the high-yield version — about 5,000 black pages versus about 2,500 for the TN110, and about 4,000 pages per color versus about 1,500 — so it costs less per page if you print a lot of color.

Are the cartridges on this page original or compatible?

Both — this page carries compatible TN110 and TN115 replacements as well as genuine Brother OEM TN110 and TN115 toner cartridges and the genuine Brother DR110CL drum.
