Frequently Asked Questions

Six color cartridges and no black — who prints like that?

People whose pages are mostly color: brochure runs, presentation decks, photo-heavy reports, classroom materials. On that kind of work the cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges empty at two or three times the pace of black. This six-cartridge color stock — built from the TN115C, TN115M and TN115Y codes — is sized for that imbalance, at 4,000 pages per cartridge.

Why stock colors this deep instead of ordering as each one dies?

Because a color running out mid-run does not just pause the job — a missing color stops color printing entirely until the replacement arrives. With six high-yield cartridges on the shelf, the swap happens the same minute the printer asks, and the run continues. For deadline work, that immediacy is the whole product.

Which printers does this color stock fit?

The cartridges fit the Brother color laser printers built around the TN110/TN115 cartridge family: DCP-9040CN, DCP-9045CDN, HL-4040CDN, HL-4040CN, HL-4070CDW, MFC-9440CN and MFC-9450CDN. Every model there takes these TN115 colors in its cyan, magenta and yellow slots, and the high-yield capacity is recognized automatically.

How do I manage six cartridges without losing track?

Label by color, store sealed and flat in a cool dry cabinet, and rotate oldest stock forward. The printer reports each color's level separately, so keep a simple habit: when a cartridge goes in, note the date on the shelf list. With per-cartridge yields of 4,000 pages, even heavy color users work through this stock gradually, and sealed toner waits patiently.

Does buying color this way affect my black cartridge choices?

Not at all. Black for these printers is stocked separately — TN110BK multi-packs and the high-yield TN115BK single and multi-packs — and each side of the machine is replaced on its own schedule. This set simply lets the color side be provisioned at the depth your workload actually demands.

What cover backs a stock purchase like this?

Every cartridge carries a 1-year warranty, and returns are free within a year under our shipping & returns policy. Shipments leave our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses, and support is available 9 AM – 5 PM CST.
